My Ten Days

Kilimanjaro... for Scope

Mountain Climbing in Africa!

Gen took on the challenge of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to raise money for Scope - the charity supporting those with cerebral palsy.  In the lead-up she ran a mystery 'Race Around London' - where participants had to follow clues and collect 'treasure' in order to win.

Overall, while Gen raised several thousand pounds, she would never do this sort of charity event again as - according to www.intelligentgiving.com - almost none of the money raised ever gets to the people who need it........

Rainforest Imperatives

Business & Marketing Skills Transfer

In 2010, our Ten Days will go toward preserving a key part of the world's natural environment - the rainforest.  This is part of our heritage - one that is essential if we, as a global society, are to minimise the effects of global warming.  Whether you believe global warming is a natural cycle, adversely affected by man - or just something that is happening - society needs to find ways to deal with it.

Ithaca's contribution will involve giving time and expertise in business strategy, planning, marketing etc. to assist those organisations committed to the preservation of the rainforest.
